The Silent Trees In Mashpee – Video

MASHPEE – Check out the sweet harmonies of The Silent Trees in this spooky, gypsy-tinged love-gone-wrong original song, “Bad to Worse.”

Silent Trees

Silent Trees

The duo played a nice mix of originals and covers at El Colibri Restaurante & Tequila Bar in Mashpee on Friday night. The Silent Trees feature Mary Lindberg on melodica and vocals, and John Redden on guitar and vocals.

This song was really interesting with its harmonies, the haunting melodica, and the guitar that felt almost like reggae. And it had such a spooky feel that it seemed our camera played along for about 30 seconds in the middle near the lyric, “you only see what you want to see,” when the focus inexplicably got fuzzy.

And then the focus came back, all by itself. This has never happened before.

It seemed to fit. So, in the context of this song, we’re going to pretend it was deliberate.
