Willy Mason with The Small Motors: “Sailing” – Music VIDEO

NORTH FALMOUTH – Willy Mason, a touring singer/songwriter from Martha’s Vineyard, put on a fantastic show on Thursday night at the Daily Brew Coffee House & Lounge. The Daily Brew is a very cool new venue, a terrific addition to Falmouth’s live music scene.

The opening act was BL & The Small Motors, featuring one of our favorite songwriters on the Cape, Benjamin Lee Patterson. Afterward, Patterson and his band backed up Mason as he performed a set of mostly originals.

Mason was a revelation. His voice was amazing and his songs were beautiful. The backing by the Small Motors, especially Jordan Mora on violin and Stu Gardener on lap steel was perfect.

Here is a lovely original by Mason called, “Sailing.”

  • Willy Mason is a huge talent. I first saw him on the Jools Holland Show, years ago.
He grew up on the Vineyard but seems to only tour in the U.K. I can’t believe he was so close. So glad you were there for this video.
