FALMOUTH – We always enjoy listening to the local band, The Silent Trees, so we headed to The Pickle Jar Kitchen on Main Street in Falmouth last night. New this summer, the Pickle Jar is having live music Friday nights.
It was a special treat when they performed the song “Liberal Jane,” written by band member Mary Lindberg. Jane was our beloved friend and next door neighbor for 20 years until she passed away a few years ago.
Jane was definitely a character. She ardently followed the news, both local, regional and national. She always had a twinkle in her eye and a savvy comment on the day’s events.
This upbeat song perfectly captures Jane and helps to keep her memory alive in our hearts.
