This is our 30th local music video posted on Cape Cod Wave, the Spampinato Brothers at the Wellfleet Boogie on the Bay.
Our first video, when we conceived this whole idea of Cape Cod short-attention-span music videos, was of the Incredible Casuals on Memorial Day weekend 2013 at the Beachcomber – the most iconic Cape Cod band at the most iconic Cape Cod club, where the barefoot dancers caught our attention.
Now, for number 30, we revisit rock royalty for the second time with the Spampinato Brothers playing the classic, Stockade Blues, with Bruce MacLean, AKA Link Montana, singing lead.
With our teeny tiny camera in tow, Cape Cod Wave has traveled from Woods Hole to Provincetown and many places in between, including beaches, bars and even a living room to find the coolest live shows happening on Cape Cod.
Most of these bands are local, and most of these songs are originals. But even those that aren’t originals, such as number 30 here performed by the Spampinato Brothers, are originally done by world-class talent from right around the corner.
Here, kids are dancing, and the super tight professionally having-fun band is rocking. It’s good to be 30.
There are a few other videos besides music here in our collection of two-minute videos, but the music ones, by our math, seem to count up to 30.
We’re just getting started promoting local music on Cape Cod. So…. If you have a band that plays original music out, we want to know about it. Write us at [email protected]
Meanwhile, check out the Spampinato Brothers, featuring Joey Spampinato on bass and vocals, Johnny Spampinato on guitar, Bruce MacLean on guitar and vocals, and Lou Cataldo on drums. Yes, we’ve posted a video of them before. They’re that good. We’ll may do another in the future.
Watch this video and you’ll see why.
Then watch our other videos, and make your own discoveries.
If you see a great Cape Cod band doing original music, please let us know. Or let someone else know. Tell the world about all the great music on Cape Cod.
