WELLFLEET – When we first started discovering the wealth of musical talent on Cape Cod, one thing we kept hearing from musicians on the Outer Cape was, “You have to see Steve Wood play guitar.”
Recommended by musicians seemed like a good endorsement to us, but then we actually saw Wood play guitar and now we’re the ones telling everyone we know, “You have to see Steve Wood play guitar.”
Here is Wood on lead guitar with the Catbirds at the Beat The Heat Music Festival, playing “Jack The Ripper” by Link Wray. Notice the spectacular choreography of bass player Chandler Travis and guitarist Mark Usher. And the power drummer is Sam Wood, Steve’s son.
