FALMOUTH – Dough was fried, and dough was made. About 200 vendors brought their wares to the annual Falmouth Village Arts & Crafts Street Festival on Wednesday.

Maybe I need a spoon…

With bubbles, and henna tattoos, and face painting, and more touristy baubles than one can shake a wallet at, Main Street was a shopper’s paradise.

There was music, and there was food all up and down but most of all there was stuff – this or that, or if you wanted, that other thing over there that you had no idea you craved, yet now you do.

According to Patricia Cosgrove, manager of the Falmouth Village Association, vendors pay between $250 and $350 for a spot in the event. “With the revenue we earn from the vendors, that money is put back into Main Street.”

This includes for decorations as well as for events, such as the Jazz stroll, said Cosgrove.

“This is one of the vendor’s favorite shows, and the Main Street merchants do extremely well too,” she said.
