PROVINCETOWN – The Grab Brothers brought their unique party vibe to Herring Cove Beach on Wednesday evening.
Playing mostly covers to an enthusiastic crowd, the band had people dancing and singing along all night long. There was some fun spins on covers, including a take on The Kinks “Ape Man” reworked as “Cape Man.”
Another highlight was when the band played The Who song, “Bargain,” and Tom Corshia on drums did an extraordinary impression of Keith Moon.
The Grab Brothers are so much fun. Watching Marc Grab play guitar is a treat, and Rob Scott is not only spot on on keyboards but he was fantastic as lead singer on classic Sugar Hill hip-hop song, “Rapper’s Delight.”
While the band played mostly covers, I was thrilled when they played this new original, written and sung by Larry Grab, “Walking On The Moona.” The song will be on a new CD that the band is now making.
