Joe Sutton in Falmouth – 2-minute video

FALMOUTH – Here is some vital nutrition for the soul, a sweet performance by the great Joe Sutton of Falmouth, with Tom Renshaw on bass and Rusty Strange on steel guitar.

Playing at the 15th anniversary of Vital Nutrition in Falmouth, the trio of longtime Falmouth musicians reached into their treasure chest from the American songbook and brought a healthy smile to the faces of those watching. At one point, it even turned into a bit of a dance party.

For decades, ever since he was packing the house at Liam Maguire’s with his old band, Joe Sutton & The Safe Sextet, Joe Sutton has been one of our favorite Cape Cod performers.

And now here he is at Vital Nutrition, proving what we suspected all along … music is healthy.

– If you like Cape Cod music, here is a story Cape Cod Wave did on the Cape Cod original music scene. We interviewed 20 musicians, four club owners, and two radio deejays – Cape Cod Music And The Joy Of Being Originally Alive

And here is a link to our growing collection of local music videos – 2-Minute Video

  • Great Time seeing you and Laura, Joe Sutten could not have been better and we enjoyed your 2 minute video. Joe could play anywhere and is a Soul Artist, reminds me of my days in Mississippi when we drank moonshine liquor during the state prohibition. Used to go to the Pearl River and get Virginia Gentleman Bourbon. Also did Gallon of WHITE LIGHTENING for $2 and later some fine Caramel colored stuff for$4/gallon. Great times and setups. Doesn’t get any better than Joe.
