Herring Cove Beach In Winter – Slideshow

Herring Cove in winter
Written by Brian Tarcy

PROVINCETOWN – It always amazes us that, despite the fact it is winter, we can get an entire Cape Cod beach to ourselves. On a recent day, we were at Herring Cove Beach relishing the solitude in such a magnificent place.

We wandered a long way down the beach and examined the growth and weathering of one of the beach sculptures we had found in 2015. We also found a couple of new ones in what is surely our favorite Cape Cod gallery.

But mostly we found spectacular vast emptiness in the amazing Outer Cape light.
