Herring Cove Beach Sculptures – Slideshow

Herring Cove Art

A sculpture on Herring Cove Beach

PROVINCETOWN – This is our favorite Provincetown art gallery. Is this called driftwood art? Is it sculpture? We only know that it’s pretty cool to walk along Herring Cove Beach near dusk and see these creations glowing in the famous Provincetown light.

We’ve seen this at other beaches across the Cape, but this beach seems to have the largest collection of beach sculptures.

We’ve stated several times that Cape Cod Wave’s favorite artist is Cape Cod itself. Some of this temporary art seems to be almost a homage to the landscape. At this time of day, the beach was nearly deserted and the sculptures became, in a way, the life of the beach.
