Up Close With A Great Blue Heron – Slideshow

Great Blue Heron
Written by Brian Tarcy

SANDWICH – We have seen many Great Blue Herons over the years but none as chill and photogenic as this one that was hanging out at the Cape Cod Canal in the morning on Wednesday.

He, or she, let us get very close. With a zoom lens, we were even closer and we just watched as the majestic bird mostly just stood but at one point seemed to see something very interesting under the water.

Then the Great Blue Heron flew away, still maintaining that whole photogenic vibe.

It was rather amazing.
