A Shack With Elbow Room At Chatham Lighthouse Beach – Slideshow

CHATHAM – The shack, seemingly some sort of artist’s installation, caught us off guard. We’d been to Chatham Lighthouse Beach many times before but finally decided to wander all the way to what we perceived to be the actual elbow of Cape Cod.

On the way, we saw boats, frisbee players, and a few folks wandering the beach. Not unexpected, but the shack was. Around the bend away from the crowded beach on a beautiful walk, and there it was. What was it? We wandered in for a closer look.

So on the Thursday before the Memorial Day weekend craziness begins, we found a beach with room to ourselves and another new Cape Cod discovery. It was fantastic.

What a day to be in Chatham. It began with our favorite fish sandwich on Cape Cod, at the Chatham Fish Pier, and then we went looking for the elbow, where we saw waves from different directions crossing paths. We could have watched it all day. We are easily amused that way.
