Old Silver Beach Sunset, February 2019 – Slideshow

Old Silver sunset, February 2019
Written by Brian Tarcy

FALMOUTH – Old Silver Beach is so popular in the summer that there is parking lot for residents and one for visitors. Having only recently arrived on Cape Cod, in 1982, we logically parked in the visitor’s lot to watch this cold and beautiful sunset.

Parking is $20 in summer, but today it was free.

From the visitor’s beach, we crossed over the Quaker Road Bridge, going over the Herring Brook, and went to the resident’s side as the sun kept falling. By the time we made it back across the bridge, the sun was down.

Yes, it was cold, and a bit less crowded than summer.
