Lighting Of The Provincetown Lobster Trap Xmas Tree – VIDEO

PROVINCETOWN – The lighting of the iconic lobster trap Christmas tree on Saturday evening was a joyous event filled with holiday songs.

This quirky ode to this seaside community’s dependence on the sea is always a highlight of the holiday season,

This year, children attending the event led the countdown that ended with the lighting of the lobster trap tree. There were lots of kids in the crowd.

While there were lots of adults, it was very much a family event. Santa, who of course was there, was busy for a long time after the tree was lit and after the crowd had mostly dispersed. We hope he gets everyone what they want.
