Big December Storm Shortly After High Tide, Falmouth – VIDEO

FALMOUTH – At high tide, this trip from Falmouth Heights to Woods Hole would not have been possible. In fact, even a few hours after high tide, I found out that, as the saying goes, you can’t get there from here.

It was mid-afternoon when I took off trying to take the coast road from Falmouth Heights to Woods Hole to see what it looked like. Well, it looked like this.

There was a spot where bulldozers were clearing sand off the road, preventing anyone from going anywhere. There were big puddles where only SUVs and a courageous Prius ventured.

It being Cape Cod, there were people running and riding bicycles.

There was even a rainbow!
