EASTHAM – With a sound seeming to come from the Pete Seeger/Peter, Paul & Mary early folk period, Toast and Jam played a great set on Saturday at Eastham Windmill Weekend.
This bouncy original folk song, “There Goes Our Home” has something of an anthem feel to it as it addresses the havoc wrought by climate change.
We have been wanting to see this band since we started recording bands for Cape Cod Wave in 2013. Finally, we found them at the great hometown celebration in Eastham.
Toast and Jam consists of songwriter Julie Charland on Glockenspiel, guitar and lead vocals; Tim Dickey on guitar; Alice Malone on fiddle and Cliff Letsche on bass. The band’s regular bass player is Blake Newman but he was unable to attend this particular show.
