The Grab Brothers, “Chicago” – Music VIDEO

WELLFLEET – The change of seasons was in full form yesterday when the Grab Brothers took the stage at the Wellfleet Pearl. It was a transitional day towards summer. The Pearl, one of our favorite venues, is open for the season.

It got me thinking. There are places on Earth where the weather is nice year round. And yeah, I get it. That’s not the Cape.

On the other hand, folks living in those paradise-like places of palm trees will never know the seasonal thrill of going to the Wellfleet Pearl for oysters and beer on opening day after a long winter. It happened yesterday, and it’s pretty difficult to match the joyous anticipatory feeling of starting it up again.

When it turns, it’s a thrilling moment on the Cape. Every opening gets us that much closer to summer.

And it was especially great to see the Grab Brothers, who are one of my favorite bands and a frequent collaborator with Cape Cod Wave on music videos featuring Cape Cod scenery. While they have a four piece band, yesterday’s version was just the actual Grab Brothers, Larry and Marc.

It was fantastic. Marc is one of my favorite guitarists and Larry is a fantastic singer, songwriter, and showman. Here is a brand new song, “Chicago.”
