CHATHAM – This is what cold looks like when the wind does most of the work, and when you look at the world from Forest Beach.
This was not the snowy, icy kind of cold that may or may not be due here at any time. And it wasn’t the deep freeze kind of weather that is a different variety of cold all together. But it was raw and beautiful and empty, and very windy.
While Chicago may have branded its cold winter wind, there are days when it’s clear that the entire concept of “windy” was created off the shore of Cape Cod.
We braved the world to get these photos from beautiful Forest Beach in Chatham. A finger or two may or may not have fallen off and into the sand due to frostbite. We still cannot feel our fingers, so it is unclear.
What we know for sure is that this is what cold looks like when there is no snow or ice.
