BARNSTABLE – On a bright sunny St. Patrick’s day, we disappeared from the corned beef and Guinness to melt, somewhat literally, into the scenery of Barnstable’s magnificent Long Pond Conservation area.
Following the specific and proven Cape Cod strategy of driving and turning left (always left) into a spot we have never been was, once again, the road to the perfect spot to park and walk. Ah, Cape Cod, thank you for the left turns to somewhere… always somewhere.
This particular outdoor find, off of Santuit Newtown Road, provided a tunnel of trees and the kind of shadows that some old European artist might paint. But what do we know about art? We’re now on the lookout for Guinness and corned beef.
