CENTERVILLE – Now that it is finally summer after a teasingly cold and wet June, we can fully embrace the joys of the season.
But be careful what you ask for—during the next two months, we share our sandy peninsula with the world.
We recall it was not too long ago, those few days between local schools letting out and the first weekend in July that that we could stop by the Centerville River Bridge and watch kids jumping in the water as a fisherman tried his luck nearby.
These are summer days to cherish.
