FALMOUTH – It was the magic hour at Woodneck Beach. Families at dusk. The light glowed, the people glowed.
Our spirits glowed.
Various clans spent the last minutes of a perfect Cape Cod day splashing in the waters of the Great Sippewissett Marsh. Others were in the shallow waters just off the beach, in Buzzards Bay.
Children armed with nets searched for minnows and crabs. Dads pulled kids on boogie boards. Stuff like this has gone on here forever – these quiet family moments that later become frozen in time to remind us that magic happened.
Seagulls swooped, as people waded out into the warm waters of the bay to watch the color show.
A couple who had seen many sunsets sat close together on beach chairs and watched this one too.
