Sunny Afternoon at Hathaway’s Pond, Hyannis – Slideshow

Sunshine at Hathaway's Pond
Written by Brian Tarcy

HYANNIS –  While Cape Cod is known for our spectacular beaches including the incredible 40-mile stretch of the Cape Cod National Seashore, the hidden gems are the more than 300 ponds such as Hathaway’s Pond.

I found myself at Hathaway’s Pond this week, searching for some solitude where I could find less news and more bird songs. It worked.

I found myself walking into a celebration of the color green.

But more than that, I walked next to the beautiful pond that is Hathaway’s Pond. It’s kind of ridiculous if you think about how lucky we are on Cape Cod to have the best of both salt water and fresh water. And tremendous hikes where you can get away from the news. I recommend it.
