Uncle Tim’s Bridge & Hamblen Park, A Perfect June Hike – Slideshow

Uncle Tim's Bridge
Written by Brian Tarcy

WELLFLEET – Uncle Tim’s Bridge is probably one of the most photographed places on Cape Cod. With good reason.

Hiking over Uncle Tim’s Bridge onto and around Hamblen Park is one of our favorite hikes on the Cape.

It is just a short distance away from the bustle of the Wellfleet Pier and Mayo Beach,  but, when you are there, it feels like you are a great deal further away.

While there are sometimes other hikers out here, and often photographers on the bridge itself, it’s still a dose of beautiful seclusion. On the day we were there, we saw a photographer with a bride and groom just leaving the bridge. And we saw two dog walkers and one fisherman.

For a walk in early June, it was perfect.
