WELLFLEET – Early in the week when I visited Newcomb Hollow Beach, a plywood sign board with a paper cutout of a woman’s face and hand caught my eye. I think the sign board previously held a shark warning.
Someone wanted to share their art. I was glad they did. It looked interesting: a temporary installation at the edge of the parking lot looking out at this spectacular beach.
Anyway, any visit to Newcomb Hollow Beach is good for the soul. I didn’t stay long, just long enough to capture these three images and a blast of the National Seashore into my soul.
Out here, where I was the only person, at least for a bit, it was good to breathe in the air and just be.
