TRURO – On a warm, late September day we were at Longnook Beach, one of the most spectacular spots on Cape Cod, or the world – depending on the size of your universe.

This beach with its rising dunes at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean is home to the coolest sports venue on Cape Cod – a seemingly never-ending beach volleyball game that we lightly profiled in 2018. We were thrilled to see it still going on.



And the beach, nearly empty past the volleyball game quickly gives meditational homage to the leaders who long ago preserved 40 miles of this shoreline, christening it the Cape Cod National Seashore. On and on it goes…
