Light, Shadows & A Cranberry Bog at Bourne Sisters Woodlands – Slideshow

Bourne Sisters Woodland
Written by Brian Tarcy

BOURNE – Our newest socially-distanced adventure and discovery was a walk at the Bourne Sisters Woodland on a sunny day.

For a somewhat short walk on various trails including the Loop Trail, the Bourne Sisters Woodland offers a lot of variety.

Since we were not prepared for what to expect (our usual strategy), we were pleasantly surprised to realize that we were next to a cranberry bog.

After, coming upon the private property sign of the Brookside Country Club, we retraced our steps. Just before that was the rather interesting Brookside Bridge.

The foliage is not showing full fall colors yet but it seems pretty clear that Bourne is a great place to view autumn at its peak.
