Fresh River Geese; 23-Second VIDEO

FALMOUTH – We were walking on Surf Drive past Fresh River when suddenly Canada geese that were relaxing on the river all decided they had somewhere to go.

So they took off and started to form a “V.”

We always wondered how they organized it – who goes left, who goes right, how do they choose their leader.

As it was taking shape and the birds flew overhead before turning towards the center of town, the plan seemed slightly chaotic. But considering how our species chooses a leader, it also seemed calm and organized.

In the end, all involved agreed on the plan forward. What a concept.
