FALMOUTH – We took a stroll down Main Street on Christmas in the late afternoon, just as the sun was setting and the street lights were coming on.
There were a few other walkers, bundled up in the freezing temperatures, under a blue sky that turned to pink as the sun set.
We saw the rare sight of a completely empty parking lot behind Peg Noonan Park, as well as several remnants from the recent storm, a downed tree near the Village Green and a torn flag flying on the library lawn.
But, all in all, it was a lovely Christmas night. All was calm, all was bright.
Peace and love to all.
