BOURNE – With sloping woods, beautiful Red Brook Pond and a great walk alongside cranberry bogs, the Red Brook Pond Conservation Area offers a lot of diversity in 40 acres.
On a recent day, we spent a bit of time wandering the several paths in the conservation area. We especially enjoyed the view of the pond and the cranberry bogs.
It was one of the most interesting walks we’ve done on the Cape, with unexpected joys along the way.
Of course, there are unexpected joys on every walk on Cape Cod. And every walk, depending on the time of year, can be different than the last one at the same place. We expect that walking near these cranberry bogs will soon be very different as the harvest begins.
