HYANNIS – The Fourth Annual Unity Day was, perhaps, the feel-good event of the summer.
Held on the Hyannis Village Green, the event started four years ago as a response by ten local men, who call themselves “People Of Action,” to rising tensions nationally and locally between police and minority commuties.
As Will Ford, one of the members said, “We’re not just talking about change. We’re taking action.”
That action was as simple, and as complicated, as organizing this fun community event featuring music, free food, games, face painting and simple acts of kindness all over the Village Green.
