The total eclipse of the supermoon lived up to its billing.
In February 1986, we awoke in the middle of the night to see Halley’s Comet, which had been marketed forever as a can’t-miss event but turned out to be a complete dud. Ever since then, we have been skeptical of astronomical events.
Our skepticism ended on the evening of September 27, 2015 when this happened.
