Orrin Keyes Beach (aka Sea Street Beach), Hyannis – Slideshow + VIDEO OF 2 Ferries passing

HYANNIS – At the south end of Sea Street, a little more than a mile from Main Street, is a beautiful, small and understated beach with some great views, including of ferry traffic between Hyannis and the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.

I went there recently on a chilly day and, of course, I had the beach, also called “Sea Street Beach” to myself. It was quite chilly after all.

But with views like this located just a mile from downtown Hyannis, I imagine this beach gets more people in the summer.

And then just as I was thinking this, I saw two ferries pass each other going in opposite directions. Soon those boats, and probably this beach, will be full.
