Marconi Beach; Sunshine, Surfers & Serenity – Slideshow

Marconi Beach June 2021
Written by Brian Tarcy

WELLFLEET – On a Sunday afternoon in early June, we wandered onto Marconi Beach to experience our first bit of a beach day this summer.

The parking lot was half full and the beach had a comfortable crowd on it.

There were a few children and brave adults who wandered into the water, but most stayed on the sand enjoying the sun.

There were almost a dozen wetsuit-clad surfers, lined up and waiting for waves.

Sometimes, a surfer or three caught a wave and rode it in, but mostly they seemed to be enjoying sitting in the sunshine as much as the folks on the beach.

We took a walk past all the people and then back. During the walk, we finished a bottle of water, and when we finished we needed more water. Summer seems to be arriving early this year.
