Armstrong-Kelley Park, Osterville – Slideshow

Armstrong-Kelley Park, Osterville
Written by Brian Tarcy

OSTERVILLE – The Armstrong-Kelley Park, right in the village of Osterville across from Fancy’s Market, is a treat.

According to the website of the Trustees of the Park, it is 8.5 acres and Cape Cod’s oldest and largest privately-owned public park. It was certainly an enjoyable hike.

The Garden of Verses offered several poems, many of them odes to nature.

Mostly the park’s serenity was so nice to know about so close to the village. And, I did enjoy seeing something called the John Folk Water Garden, with a sign describing him as a “gentleman and a grumpy old man.” It spoke to me.
