A Provincetown Sunrise – Slideshow

Provincetown June sunrise
Written by Brian Tarcy

PROVINCETOWN – To wake up and see the sun rise in Provincetown is one of the best experiences one can have.

As first light begins a half hour or so before the sun comes up, the sky begins to brighten and a faint orange glow, growing by the minute, shows itself at the horizon.

Of course, the backdrop for all of this is Provincetown – a natural wonder, a curling sand spit of dreams and breathtaking beauty.

Morning arrives in a place like this and the possibilities are endless.

The world lightens more. Birds fly by in formation. The 10-foot tide moves out a little bit more before it changes its mind in an endless cycle and comes back in again. The day, the wondrous great-to-be-alive day, has begun.
