WOODS HOLE – When we left downtown Falmouth on the Shining Sea Bikeway on Saturday evening, headed to Woods Hole, the weather was overcast but clear.
Three miles later, when we arrived in Woods Hole, we were shrouded in fog.
Cape Cod weather is always interesting. It can vary from town to town. And it can vary, as witnessed by our bike trip, from village to village.
We did a rough tour of Woods Hole. We stopped at Eel Pond, Stoney Beach, the Woods Hole Fishing Pier, Waterfront Park, and the dock behind the Landfall Restaurant for a view of the the tall ship, Corwith Cramer.
It was all in a fog, but we remember it clearly.

While most of Cape Cod Wave is free, these stories are behind a paywall ($3 to read one story, $5 a month to access all stories, or $50 for a year’s access) This is the only way we make money.
