BREWSTER – Inside Nickerson State Park, I recently found a parking lot which led me directly to Flax Pond, one of Cape Cod’s hundreds of natural ponds.
The walk-up approach was nice but it gave barely a glimpse of the colorful world that awaited me once I had a full view of the pond.
The sky was reflecting off the water, and the bright afternoon sun made certain spots seem to almost glow.
And since it is late October, there was some nice foliage as well.
