HARWICH – When we found Sand Pond by mistake (how we do everything), we were thrilled. It was another little treasure on Cape Cod.
That’s the thing about the Cape. It’s getting to be summer and at the ocean beaches are, of course, a major attraction to locals and tourists. But there are hundreds of fresh water ponds, such as Sand Pond, that would be top end attractions in almost any other location.
But this is Cape Cod, where the spectacular, though never ordinary, is somewhat common.
