Will Harrington & DeAngelo Nieves; “Those Were The Days” – Music VIDEO

PROVINCETOWN – One highlight of any visit to Provincetown is being lucky enough to be walking down the street when Will Harrington has set up his piano on Commercial Street.

Even better, this time he was accompanied by DeAngelo Nieves on trumpet.

There is entertainment all over Provincetown, and all of it is awesome. But seeing Will Harrington on the street with his piano adorned with the slogan that was famously on Pete Seeger’s guitar, “This Machine Kills Fascists” is always a top choice.

In this video, Harrington and Nieves perform “Those Were The Days,” which had been popularized by Mary Hopkin in 1968. The song is credited to Gene Raskin, who put English lyrics to a Russian romance song.

Harrington always plays great oldies in his inimitable style. Those were the days, but these are the days. We hope they never end.
