DENNIS – Sometimes a sunset beckons, as was the case recently when the sky was starting to turn orange and I was in a car driving on Route 28 near West Dennis Beach.
It was an easy decision to give a few minutes of my time and settle into a bit of uncomfortable chill to see the magic of a sunset over water. It just never gets old.
Of course, the reason every sunset is a fresh experience is because each one is unique. It’s a pleasure to travel the Cape and see sunsets from all over the peninsula, as each beach offers its own palette.
I highly recommend chasing sunsets as cheap and yet exhilarating form of Cape Cod entertainment.
This experience of seeing a sunset at the huge expanse that is West Dennis was pretty special. There were several cars in the parking lot with people looking on. They knew. But only a few walked the beach in the chill. I did, and it was great as you can see by the photos below.
