NORTH FALMOUTH – The North Falmouth Porchfest was a great idea with a lot of good music. It was also very spread out, which meant for a lot of walking on a very hot day.
I arrived about halfway through the four hour porchfest on Saturday, so I am not sure if I missed any bands earlier, or if I just didn’t find some bands. I got a bit lost walking around trying to find music. But the quest was worth it.
I was thrilled to find a lot of original music, including a favorite, High Pines. The most popular act, by far, was local favorites Puffy Elvis, playing all the old hits.
There is nothing like walking through a village from porch to porch and finding live music playing for free. It was a great day. Some, on North Main Street, were easy to find.
Others were a bit farther apart. I am not even sure I found them all. The ones I found brought great joy to those who found them.
