ORLEANS – We recently discovered the wonderful Mill Pond Valley Trail, which took us through the woods to Mill Pond, around a peninsula of private houses and eventually to a spectacular view of Nauset Harbor.
Like so many Cape walks, this one offered many different views in a short distance.
Everything was lush and green. The warmth of summer felt within reach, and small boats were placed, seemingly artistically, along the shore to further brighten the walk.
And then when we reached the view of Nauset, well, our day was complete.
While we have several go-to walks that we enjoy on Cape Cod, our quest is always to find a new one. The Mill Pond Valley Trail, recommended to us by someone who knows, was a great find.
