Labor Day Marconi Beach Sunrise – Slide Show

Marconi sunrise Labor Day 2024
Written by Brian Tarcy

WELLFLEET – As the sun began its rise over the Atlantic Ocean on Labor Day morning, Marconi Beach was mostly empty except for a couple of walkers and a person reading a book while the gentle waves rolled ashore.

When I walked a short ways down the beach, I essentially had this spectacular piece of Earth to myself.

There is something about a sunrise over the ocean. The new day declared its intention and the sun painted the morning clouds over the water while I got to witness it all.

It was serene and wonderful and breath-taking and, frankly, breath-giving. The air on the beach somehow felt more fulfilling at sunrise.
