Herring River, Harwich – Slideshow

Herring River, Harwich
Written by Brian Tarcy

HARWICH – It’s easy to drive over one of Cape Cod’s many bridges and travel by without looking at the scenery.

But we recently stopped after going over the Herring River on Route 28 in Harwich. This is the river that, during warmer weather, features iconic red boats.

Off season, without the boats, it is just as picturesque.

And it’s nice to stop for a moment, once in a while, and appreciate that which is right in front of us and so obvious that, well, sometimes we miss it.
