FALMOUTH – Most of the boats are gone from Falmouth Harbor, and docks are lonely places, unless you are a seagull. But the cold and tide have mixed to create another piece of Cape Cod natural magic, these frozen shapes throughout the harbor.
We walked out on the docks briefly, which was safer than walking slowly down the hill from the parking lot to the road alongside the harbor.
It was so slippery that our slow downhill walk almost had us running straight into the harbor. We slowed our acceleration just in time. It was exciting, and totally worth it.
