Bell’s Neck Conservation Lands, Harwich – Slide Show

Bell's Neck
Written by Brian Tarcy

HARWICH – We recently went back to one of the best walks on the Cape, at Bell’s Neck Conservation Lands.

It was late in the afternoon and quite brisk but the views in this 259-acre gem were worth bundling up for. There are a lot of paths in these woods and it’s easy to get lost in here, as I have once before.

This time, I stuck to the main path and found it to be a pleasant and beautiful hike.

There were great views of the Herring River as well as West Reservoir, which is fresh water, and East Reservoir which is brackish. And on this afternoon the sun and the clouds were putting on a show, adding to the beauty of the hike.
