An Optimist’s Guide To Cape Cod Spring

Spring Cape Cod
Written by Brian Tarcy

CAPE COD – Ah, spring on Cape Cod. It certainly is one of the four seasons. That is what the calendar says, and we have a calendar.

Spring is not winter. That is also what the calendar says. And we know that eventually, because it is spring, things will begin to grow. So we went looking on a walk through Falmouth on Saturday, and we indeed found signs of life.

Tiny buds, nesting ospreys, and blue skies were optimistic signs that this spring is going to be the best spring ever on Cape Cod. Right?

Also, and this is important to being an optimist about Cape Cod spring, it always changes. Every day there are changes.

For instance, it was nice on Saturday. Today it is rainy and gray – this is spring. Things will change. We are counting on it. It’s really all we’ve got.
