WOODS HOLE – Arne Grepstad, former owner of the Dome Restaurant, gives a 3-minute tour of the iconic and decaying Buckminster Fuller structure.
Grepstad, who was born and raised in Norway, first came to Falmouth as an exchange student at what was then Lawrence High School. He started working at the Dome in 1973. He and a partner owned the restaurant from 1987 to 1997.
He knows the history of this building. He knew the late Buckminster Fuller, who, Grepstad said, often came back to Falmouth to visit “his baby.”
Grepstad became an American citizen in 1989. He lives in Falmouth.
