EASTHAM – The waves in the sand of First Encounter Beach create fingerprint-like marks that disappear into eternity when the tide comes in.
And just as every fingerprint is different, different spots of the sand in the receding tide had unique lines one recent afternoon.
And in the puddles of ocean that remained, tiny waves shimmied in the wind.
