WELLFLEET – Cahoon Hollow Beach is home to The Beachcomber, the most famous beach bar on Cape Cod and one of the most famous in America. It also happens to be home to, well, Cahoon Hollow Beach.
As a recent evening settled in and most of the beachgoers headed to the bar for food and music, or home for the evening, the lighting on the beach that made the bar famous was spectacular. The waves were big and wild and a few swimmers enjoyed the final minutes of daylight.
Meanwhile, some young women ran down the the front of the dune rather than the well-traveled path to the beach.
